Lake Area Webs is a family run business. Within our immediate family we have approximately 100 years of computer programming and network experience. We are proficient in most of the current web languages and technologies.
My name is Kevin J. Lennon. I became a Microsoft® certified professional in 1998. I was troubleshooting and
supporting computer networks as an outside consultant. I started on the help desk answering tech questions over the
telephone. As I became more porficient at that I was promoted to the next level of support.
That level of support was to repair the computer issues at the client's desk. After doing that for a short period of time the companies that I was assigned to work at found the position was not challenging me enough.
I was then promoted again to a full blown network administrator position as an outside consultant. I found myself working on servers both locally and remotely with the use of pcAnywhere. I was in charge of making sure the company primary master domain controllers did not fail. I also had to support all the other administrators to repair or maintain their local servers.
One day the company I was assigned to came to me and offered to hire me directly. When they asked what the consulting company I was working for was paying me I told them. They were unable to match the income and benefits I was already recieving.
I received a call the next day from the consulting firm I was working for informing me they had terminated the contract. At that point I continued to work on my own servers and network.
A short time after that I relocated to the Lake Wallenpaupack / Lake Ariel / Milford area of Pennsylvania. This move prompted me to start up my own business. I looked deep within myself before deciding on the type of business it would be. After much consideration, I saw a need for someone in my area to create and maintain web sites for local area businesses.
I reviewed several web sites on the internet and noticed the majority of them were not up to today’s international standards. Most of them did not have good content or were lacking in either presentation, navigation or supporting infrastructure.
It was at that point I realized in order to build a real first class website you needed three types of people to be a part of it. While many larger companies have employees of all three areas needed, they tend to not be able to implement those qualities in a website prior to the ideas or ways of implementing those ideas becoming obsolete.
The reason for this is larger companies tend to require meetings to get approval for changes and each department head tends to have their own itinerary. That is what brought me to this point.
Lake Area Webs will stand out from the crowd by producing world class websites following the guidelines we have written in our white papers here for the general public to read at any time. Please feel free to contact me at anytime via email with your comments, questions or concerns.
